St. Paddy's Day Potluck — RSVP at the Genoa Town Office

Genoa Residents: Get your Irish on and help us celebrate St. Patrick's Day! Bring your favorite 'potluck' salad or dessert to share with Genoa area residents on March 17. The Town of Genoa will supply the traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner. Plus there will be a Silent Auction, traditional Irish music, fun family entertainment and more. Please RSVP for the dinner as we need to know what people want to bring and/or will bring to the dinner. (Check the Calendar or our information flyer for RSVP date.) Thank you!

David Walley's Easter Egg Hunt

In 2013, David Walley's took over as sponsor for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the area children. Bring your kids — 1 to 6 years and 7 years and older — dressed appropriately for the weather and ready to hunt for easter eggs. There are separate egg hunts for each age group, and each egg hunt has a Golden Egg prize for the child who finds it.

Haunted Genoa Ghost Walk — October

Sponsored by the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center
Guided tour featuring haunted sights and historic landmarks — including Mormon Station, later known as Genoa, "The First Permanent Settlement in Nevada" — with haunting tales of a rich and exciting history. You may even meet a few ghosts and ghouls!

Halloween Party and Hay Ride — October 31

A howlingly fun party and hair-raising hay ride around Genoa. Parents are encouraged to bring their ghosts and ghouls for a fun and safe Halloween gathering in Genoa. Contact the Genoa Town Office for more information, and if you'd like to volunteer to help or donate safe treats.

CLASSES: DANCE, EXERCISE, CRAFTS AND MORE...

Genoa Community Continuing Education and Recreation Workshops


Genoa and area residents enjoy unique classes and workshops held in the Historic Genoa Town Hall. If you have a unique craft, want to teach a yoga or exercise class, or just want to share a dance with those willing to learn new steps, then contact the Town Manager and get the details for use of the Town Hall.


Ballroom Dance Class flyer 2015NOW FORMING! Beginner Ballroom Dance Class with JUDY LEE

Class will be held each Thursday, 6 to 7 p.m. The fee is $10 per person, per class, at the door of the historic Genoa Town Hall.

Judy will teach you these popular Ballroom steps: Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Cha-Cha and Swing. CALL the Town Office for details.


Judy Lee also offers wedding dances and private lessons. Available by appointment: $45 per hour
