Light the Tree

The Genoa Tree — Hope's Colorado Blue Spruce — donated to the town, is strung with lights and waiting for the perfect time to be lit.

 

Join us on the first Friday in December for all the fun and food, too!

Friday, December 1st

Christmas Caroling — Meet at the Genoa Community Church, 5:30 p.m.
Genoa Tree Lighting — Follow the carolers to the corner of Main Street and Genoa Lane to see the light at 6:30 p.m.
Santa's Visit — After the lights are lit, warm up with holiday revelers with holiday refreshments and a visit with "Jolly Old St. Nick".

Saturday morning starting at 8:30 AM, 9:40 AM and 10:50 AM. Tickets are available now.

Old Style Santa

Santa will be visiting with children and their families throughout the morning.

Be sure to bring your camera!

Breakfast will consist of fluffy pancakes with syrup, sausage, orange juice, hot cocoa and coffee. Tickets are $5 per person, kids 4 and under are FREE. Breakfast with Santa will be held in the Town Hall located at 2289 Main Street. November 27 through December 7, 2017:

"SHARE YOUR CHRISTMAS DRIVE-BY FOOD DRIVE" drop off at Genoa Volunteer Fire Department, Station 3

Genoa Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a food drop off point at the Genoa Fire Station through December 7th.

On December 8, volunteers will transport all the food collected to the Channel 2 News "Share Your Christmas" Holiday Drive-By Food Drive drop off at the Carson Valley Inn. All proceeds donated in Genoa will benefit the Carson Valley Food Closet.

"TOYS FOR TOTS" toy drop off at Gillmor Coons RE Group

Gillmor Coons Real Estate Group at 2288 Main Street, Genoa, NV, will have a "Toys For Tots" collection point for NEW and UNWRAPPED toys (Toys will be handed out by community volunteers to local children in need. Visit the TOYS FOR TOTS — CARSON CITY website for details, or the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation website for information about the national organization.)

Douglas Disposal Food Drive to Benefit the
Carson Valley Food Closet

Carson Valley Food ClosetDonations of non-perishable food items in plastic bags should be placed beside trash cans during the week of DECEMBER 5th thru 9th. The collected food will be weighed and then delivered to the Carson Valley Community Food Closet to help support our community during the holiday season. Donations may also be delivered to the Douglas Disposal office located at 1653 N Lucerne St, ste A in the Minden Village. For more information, please call (775) 782-5713.

“A Genoa Cowboy Christmas”

Performance is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Historic Genoa Town Hall at 2287 Main Street.
(Doors open at 5:30 p.m.)

 

Tickets for the holiday concert with TBA are $20 for Adults. Children's tickets are $15 (12 years and under). CLICK HERE to download a copy of the poster (when available).

 

Pre-Concert Dinner:
CHILI and BAKED POTATOES

with all the trimmings!
Concert with Dinner tickets: $35 for Adults, $25 for Children (12 years and under). Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner hosted by Friends of Genoa.
