Carson Valley Days Pin 2015The Carson Valley #85 Active 20/30 Club is pleased to announce “The 105th Annual Carson Valley Days Celebration”. This year’s event will be held on June 8-11, 2017, kicking off the summer with a variety of events and activities for the whole family!

Tuesday, July 4 GENOA AMERICANA CELEBRATION and GVFD JULY 4TH CHICKEN BBQ

Genoa Americana CelebrationWelcome to the GENOA AMERICANA CELEBRATION at the Mormon Station State Historic Park (GVFD), 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This year’s 4th of July Celebration in Genoa will prove to be bigger and better than ever before. The day will feature five traditional music groups and will conclude with a performance by the Carson Symphony Orchestra featuring David Bugli. The celebration kicks off in the at 10 a.m. with a children’s parade and musical performances by Riccochet, Sierra Silverstrings, Sierra Sweethearts, Southwestern Pilgrimage and Richard Elloyan & Steve Wade. Other activities through out the day include children’s games,musical workshops and jam sessions, and The Locally World Famous GVFD July 4th Chicken BBQ brought to you by the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department.

July 4 Chicken BBQ

Chicken BBQ at the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department (GVFD), 12 Noon to 6 p.m. The meal includes 1/2 BBQ chicken, cole slaw, baked potato and dinner roll for $12. Beverages are sold separately. We need people running games, bartending, serving food, cleanup, etc. Please help us make it a safe, fun Halloween for your kids this year... Thank you!

Genoa Halloween Party & Hay Ride — 5 to 9 p.m.
The Annual Genoa Halloween Party and Hay Ride is open to all residents of Genoa and the Genoa Area. The Town will provide a main dish for the dinner, and soft drinks. Parents: Please bring a side dish and donate bottle of wine or beer for the "Parents Bar." There will be music and games with a prizes for kids.

The Hay Ride begins at 5 p.m. outside the Genoa Town Hall.

Breakfast with Santa on Saturday from 8:30 a.m., 9:40 a.m. and 10:50 a.m.
Santa will be visiting with children and their families throughout the morning. Be sure to bring your camera!
Breakfast will consist of fluffy pancakes with syrup, sausage, orange juice and coffee. Tickets are $5 per person, children 4 years and under are free! Breakfast with Santa will be held in the Genoa Town Hall located at 2287 Main Street. Drive-By Food Drive

NOVEMBER 27 THROUGH DECEMBER 7, 2017

“SHARE YOUR CHRISTMAS” HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE — Download the event flyer when available.

Genoa Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a food drop off point at the Genoa Fire Station through December 7.

On December 8, volunteers will transport all the food collected to the Channel 2 News "Share Your Christmas" Holiday Drive-By Food Drive drop off at the Carson Valley Inn.

All proceeds donated in Genoa will benefit the Carson Valley Food Closet.

The Carson Valley Food Closet

Carson Valley Food ClosetDonations of non-perishable food items in plastic bags should be placed beside trash cans during the week of DECEMBER 4th thru 8th. The collected food will be weighed and then delivered to the Carson Valley Community Food Closet to help support our community during the holiday season. Donations may also be delivered to the Douglas Disposal office located at 1653 N Lucerne St, ste A in the Minden Village. For more information, please call (775) 782-5713.

Tickets for the Cowboy Christmas are $20. Children's tickets are $15 (12 years and under).
