Billie Jean Rightmire, Town of Genoa Historian, will present a Historical Guided Walking Tour of Genoa on Saturday at 11 a.m. This event is free and is sponsored by the Greater Genoa Business Association.
For everyone interested in taking the guided tour, please meet at the Genoa Information gazebo at the corner of Nixon and Main Streets just behind the stop sign.
RIGHT: Keith Corban and his dog Ditto get a brochure from Lynne Bowersock at the Genoa Information Gazebo. The Greater Genoa Business Association (GGBA) has volunteers manning the gazebo weekends and holidays throughout the year, plus a few weekdays during the summer. Drop by and pick up valuable visitor information about Genoa and the surrounding Carson Valley area.

90th Annual Genoa Candy Dance Arts & Crafts Faire, Downtown Genoa, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Genoa Candy Dance Dinner & Dance, Genoa Town Park
No Host bar opens at 4 p.m. Dinner and Dance start at 5 p.m. Dance wraps up at 10 p.m. DINNER/DANCE TICKETS: $30. Dance Only tickets are $15 and Kids 12 and under are $15. There are a limited number of Dinner/Dance Tickets — Contact the Town of Genoa, (775) 782-8696, for tickets and information.

Parents, please
bring your children to the Genoa Town Community Center (next to the Genoa Town Hall) for pancakes, sausage and orange juice or milk. There will be hot coffee for parents and a jolly good time for all.
“Christmas in the Sierra” concert, Genoa Town Hall, two shows, 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Band: David John and the Comstock Cowboys.
Dinner will be served from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the "Cowboy Cafeteria" located in the Genoa Community Center adjacent to the Genoa Town Hall. Dinner includes Chili, baked potatoes with all the toppings, served with one soft drink, hot cider or hot chocolate. The "No Host" bar inside the Genoa Town Hall will serve beer and wine.
Tickets for the Dinner and Concert will be available in November. Ticket prices will be announced sometime in the Fall of 2010.
