The Genoa Town Board meets the first Tuesday of each month, except on holidays. Candy Dance is the last full weekend in September. See our calendar below for more events in Genoa throughout the year. The Town of Genoa Presents the Annual Genoa Egg Hunt for Genoa area residents. Find the Golden Egg and win a special prize from the Easter Bunny. Participants, ages infants through 6th grade. PARENTS: Please bring 1 dozen plastic eggs to the Town of Genoa Office no later than Monday, April 2, filled with seasonal candies for the Egg Hunt on Sunday. The Town of Genoa would like to thank all who support and donate to this event.

For all you Cowboys and Cowgirls out there, don't miss the Genoa Cowboy Festival TRAIL TRIAL on Sunday, April 29, to be held at the Whit Hall Interpretive Center on the River Fork Ranch, 381 Genoa Lane (1.2 Miles East of Genoa). Wednesday, July 4 INDEPENDENCE DAY BBQ and CONCERT

Chicken BBQ at the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department (GVFD), 12 Noon to 6 p.m. The meal includes 1/2 BBQ chicken, cole slaw, baked potato and dinner roll for $12. Beverages are sold separately. Tickets are on sale now at the Genoa Town Office, (775) 782-8696. You can also buy tickets at the Chicken BBQ tent.
Pops in the Park, Mormon Station Park, 4:15 p.m. Festivities start at 1 p.m. and features the world class Reno Philharmonic Orchestra with Jason Altiereri conducting. Other entertainment includes Carson Chamber Singers, Reno Philharmonic Chorus, Chorus os the Comstock, the Roving Violinist John O'Neill, the Percussion Petting Zoo, Doc-O and Squeaky the Clown, a silent auction and the firing of live cannons with the 1812 Overature. Genoa Halloween Party & Hay Ride
The Annual Genoa Halloween Party and Hay Ride is open to all residents of Genoa and the Genoa Area. The Town will provide the main dish for the dinner, plus soft drinks and treats. Parents: Please bring a side dish and donate beer or bottle of wine for the "Parents Bar." There will be games and a Pumpkin Decorating Contest with a prize for the best pumpkin in each category. The Hay Ride begins at 5:00 p.m. outside the Genoa Town Hall.
