The Genoa Town Board meets the first Tuesday of each month, except on holidays. Candy Dance is the last full weekend in September. See our calendar below for more events in Genoa throughout the year. Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Genoa Town Park, 12 Noon.Easter Bunny Animation
The Town of Genoa Recreation Committee Presents the Annual Genoa Easter Egg Hunt for Genoa area residents. Find the Golden Egg and win a special prize from the Easter Bunny. Participants, ages infants through 6th grade, are encouraged to have their parents bring plastic Easter eggs to the Town of Genoa Office no later than Friday, April 2, to be filled with treats for the Egg Hunt on Sunday. The Recreation Committee would like to thank all who support and donate to this event.

COWBOY POETRY & MUSIC FESTIVAL
Genoa Town Hall and other Genoa Locations.

The First Annual Genoa Cowboy Poetry & Music Festival will be ridin' in to town on Thursday evening, starting with the opening ceremonies and a Cowboy Chuck Wagon Dinner at 5 p.m., put on by the Trimmer Outpost, Ranch One Beef and the JT Restaurant. FREE GUIDED WALKING TOUR — GENOA HISTORY

GGBA Kiosk-GazeboBillie Jean Rightmire, Town of Genoa Historian, will present a Historical Guided Walking Tour of Genoa on Saturday at 11 a.m. This event is free and is sponsored by the Greater Genoa Business Association.

For everyone interested in taking the guided tour, please meet at the Genoa Information gazebo at the corner of Nixon and Main Streets just behind the stop sign.

RIGHT: Keith Corban and his dog Ditto get a brochure from Lynne Bowersock at the Genoa Information Gazebo. The Greater Genoa Business Association (GGBA) has volunteers manning the gazebo weekends and holidays throughout the year, plus a few weekdays during the summer. Drop by and pick up valuable visitor information about Genoa and the surrounding Carson Valley area.

Parents, please bring your children to the Genoa Town Community Center (next to the Genoa Town Hall) for pancakes, sausage and orange juice or milk. There will be hot coffee for parents and a jolly good time for all.

Saturday, December 11

Christmas in the Sierra“Christmas in the Sierra” concert, Genoa Town Hall, two shows, 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Band: David John and the Comstock Cowboys.

Dinner will be served from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the "Cowboy Cafeteria" located in the Genoa Community Center adjacent to the Genoa Town Hall. Dinner includes Chili, baked potatoes with all the toppings, served with one soft drink, hot cider or hot chocolate. The "No Host" bar inside the Genoa Town Hall will serve beer and wine.

Tickets for the Dinner and Concert will be available in November. Ticket prices will be announced sometime in the Fall of 2010.
